SDD Reboot Sneekpeeks! :

For those of you who don’t know, SDD is a novel I’m writing (and in the current process of rewriting) called “Sunshine’s Darkest Day”. It’s about a musical protege who survives a mass shooting during her senior year of highschool and her consequent road through the Witness Protection Program, Depression, her music, relationships, and rebuilding her life under a new name.

You can check out some of the new pieces here!

As May 1st draws closer and closer, I’m getting more and more frustrated over not going to the WS this year. Gosh, I wish I had a fairy god-mother or something.

It’s time for the Semi-Regular Occurrence of OYAN Attendance

Basically, if you’re on OYAN, reblog this with your user.

Ie, Moi = Sharpie

SOBBING. LITERALLY. SOBBING.

YOU GUYS. I STILL CAN’T BELIEVE THIS HAS HAPPENED. OH GOSH OH GOSH.

So, a few days ago I made a post one night when I was really low and I didn’t even post it, it was just in the tags and I said that just once, I’d really like to get flowers this Valentines day.

I’ve never gotten flowers before for Vday. Not from those kids who buy carnations at school, not from my dad, not from any guys. And you have to understand. I LOVE getting flowers. More so than jewelry or candy or any other romantic gift.

If I ever had a date and we didn’t go out and just watched redbox, if he brought flowers, even if they were dandelions, I would be thrilled.

I just love getting flowers.

So when the UPS man came about ten minutes ago, I literally burst into tears when I saw the box from some e-company that sends flowers. Even more so when it didn’t have my mom’s name (sometimes my brother sends her flowers), but my own.

AND INSIDE: THESE BEAUTIES.

BUT THAT’S NOT ALL. Inside was this, which made me go into another round of tears as my mom came downstairs to see what all the fuss was about.

The second name isn’t any of my actual names, but it means “Beloved” in Italian and is very near and dear to my heart for a variety of reason. Also withholding the name of the people who sent it. Although, hint hint, I know they’re from OYAN.

BUT YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE AND I LOVE YOU ALL FOR IT.

GAH. I CAN’T GET OVER THIS. THEY ARE GORGEOUS. LOOK AT EM.

This is me reading a poem I wrote called “Quoth.” It was filmed at the OYAN Winter Workshops this New Years.

Please watch! I hope you like it. :)

In light of the WWS, I find this really sad…

Kay.

Who’s coming to the workshop?

MOI.

This won’t apply to non-OYANers… but OYANers - I have created a topic on the forum which I think you all should check out, because it’s inspired by some of the conversations I’ve had with you guys here!

Here’s the link:

http://www.oneyearnovel.com/forum/index.php?/topic/24545-the-miracle-of-human-consciousness-writing-life-god-and-love/

It’s called “The Miracle of Human Consciousness,” and it’s a topic specifically for discussion amongst us on the forum that can still be meaningful and thoughtful - without having to be about one particular thing. Sort of like how we’ve utilized Tumblr.

Anyway, you guys can check it out. Have fun! :)

I heart this.

I might actually be able to convince my parents to get me a passport within the next few days. I don’t even need one. I just suddenly feel that, with the workshop over, the logical next step is to make sure that the entire planet is open to me for travel purposes at any given moment.

Be good to me, 2013. If I get a passport, please let me use it.

This is a brilliant plan. I have mine. Let’s go adventuring. I hear New Zealand looks remarkably like Rohan.

WHAT HAS OYAN DONE TO ME?

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHA.

So right now I’m just reading all of my encouragement notes from the Workshop stockings over and over again.

TOO MANY FEELS. I love all of you so much!

I am also doing this

Just stuck all of mine on a corkboard so I can see them every day. Stockings were officially the best idea ever.

Yes.
